The Department of National Parks and Wildlife (DNPW) in Zambia is a cornerstone of the nation's commitment to conserving its rich biodiversity and promoting sustainable tourism. To enhance visitor experience, many parks feature excellent accommodation facilities, ranging from luxurious hotels and lodges to rustic bush camps. For parks with rivers and airstrips, visitors can also access them by water or air, adding to the adventure and accessibility of these natural havens.

Managing such an extensive and diverse wildlife estate is not without its challenges. The DNPW faces issues like poaching, habitat loss, and human-wildlife conflict. To address these, the department employs various strategies. The DNPW collaborates with local communities, international organizations, and other stakeholders to strengthen anti-poaching measures and ensure the protection of endangered species.
