Kapampa Mutale: A Beacon of Resilience and Determination for Zambian Youth

Acknowledging and celebrating innovative achievements and successes among Zambian youths is paramount for inspiring others to pursue their own innovative ideas and initiatives. By highlighting exemplary projects, initiatives, and individuals, the theme "Be the Change" can serve as a catalyst for encouraging a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the youth population.

Recognizing and showcasing the accomplishments of young innovators not only provides them with the recognition they deserve but also serves as a source of inspiration and motivation for others. By shining a spotlight on their achievements, the theme encourages emulation and encourages other youths to step forward with their innovative ideas, ultimately driving progress and positive change in Zambian society.

In the bustling city of Ndola, Copperbelt, Kapampa Mutale's journey from humble beginnings to entrepreneurial success is a testament to the unwavering spirit of resilience and determination that defines Zambia's youth. Born and raised in Ndola, Kapampa's story is a powerful reminder that with passion and perseverance, anything is possible.

Kapampa's educational journey began at Frederick Chiluba Basic School, where he laid the foundation for his academic pursuits. From grade one to nine, he dedicated himself to his studies, setting the stage for future success. His thirst for knowledge led him to Lubuto Secondary School, where he obtained his grade 12 certificate, marking a significant milestone in his educational journey.

Following his graduation, Kapampa enrolled at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) in 2018, where he was elected as the academic secretary, showcasing his leadership abilities and dedication to academic excellence. Despite facing challenges along the way, Kapampa remained steadfast in his pursuit of knowledge, ultimately earning his diploma from NIPA in 2020.

However, it was Kapampa's entrepreneurial spirit and resilience in the face of adversity that truly set him apart. In 2017, amidst life's challenges, he embarked on a small business venture, selling sweets, bubble gums, and snacks. Despite the skepticism and laughter from others, Kapampa persevered, fueled by the unwavering support of his family, especially his mother and sister, and a few close friends.

Through sheer determination and hard work, Kapampa's small business flourished, providing him with the foundation for something greater. As he reflected on his journey, Kapampa emphasized the importance of ignoring others' opinions and staying true to oneself. His experience taught him valuable lessons about resilience, perseverance, and the power of self-belief.

Yet, Kapampa's journey was not solely focused on personal success. Inspired by the kindness and generosity of others he encountered along the way, Kapampa embarked on a mission to give back to his community. In 2018, he witnessed the plight of young girls using makeshift sanitary towels in Luano, Central Province, sparking a desire to make a difference.

Through his fundraising efforts, Kapampa strives to provide sanitary products to those in need, offering hope and dignity to vulnerable communities. His message to his fellow youth is one of encouragement and resilience, urging them to never lose focus, regardless of life's challenges.

As we celebrate Youth Day with the theme "Be the Change," Kapampa Mutale's story serves as an inspiring reminder of the transformative power of resilience, determination, and compassion. His journey from selling sweets on the streets of Ndola to making a meaningful impact in his community is a testament to the limitless potential of Zambia's youth.

Above all, Kapampa's unwavering faith and commitment to serving others stand as a beacon of hope for generations to come. As he continues to inspire others with his resilience and compassion, Kapampa reminds us all to put God first and to never lose sight of our purpose in life.
